The Justrite Sure-Grip EX Under Fume Hood Safety Cabinet is designed for the safe and code-compliant storage and venting of solvents and flammable liquids in laboratory environments. This cabinet features a 15 Gal (57 L) capacity, making it ideal for storing large quantities of flammable liquids. The self-closing door with a left hinge and patented concealed self-close mechanism ensures that the cabinet is securely closed in case of a fire.
Durable and Fire-Resistant Construction
The cabinet is constructed with a sturdy 18-gauge (1-mm) thick steel double-wall, with 1.5 in (38 mm) of insulating air space for fire resistance. The fully welded, not riveted, construction holds the squareness of the unit for a longer life and offers greater protection in a fire since air gaps are reduced.
Innovative Shelf Design
The cabinet features one patented, galvanized steel SpillSlope shelf designed to direct spills to the back and bottom into a 2-in (51-mm) leak-tested sump that meets EPA requirements. The shelf is adjustable on 3-in (76-mm) centers and meets ANSI MH28.1 standards with a 350-lb (159-kg) safe allowable load.
Compliance and Safety Features
The cabinet meets OSHA, NFPA 30, NFPA 1, and IFC requirements, and is FM Approvals tested and approved. It also features Haz-Alert reflective warning labels that read “FLAMMABLE – KEEP FIRE AWAY” and are highly visible under fire conditions or during power outages when illuminated with a flashlight.
