This light neutral cabinet can store 31 gal (117 L) of flammable liquids and fits under chemical fume hoods, benches, and counters. It features an ergonomic design with a 4-in high by 3-in deep (102-mm high by 77-mm deep) toe kick, which makes it easier for chemical handlers to maintain an appropriate distance.

Sturdy Construction for Long-Lasting Protection

The cabinet is constructed with a sturdy 18-gauge (1-mm) thick steel double-wall, with 1.5 in (38 mm) of insulating air space for fire resistance. The fully welded, not riveted, construction holds the squareness of the unit for a longer life and offers greater protection in a fire since air gaps are reduced.

Self-Closing Doors for Automatic Shut-Off in Case of Fire

When used properly as designed, safety cabinets with self-closing doors shut automatically in case of a fire. The self-closing doors, under tension, are held open by using fusible links. Under fire conditions, when the ambient temperature reaches 165 F (74 C), the links melt and the safety cabinet’s self-closing doors automatically swing shut.

Added Security and Convenience

For added security, each cabinet comes with an innovative U-Loc handle that does not require manual rotation to engage the mandatory latch. Cabinets include a cylinder lock and key set, or you can choose to use your own padlock. Haz-Alert reflective warning labels that read “FLAMMABLE – KEEP FIRE AWAY” are highly visible under fire conditions or during power outages when illuminated with a flashlight.
